It all began with me pushing a lawn mower during the hot and humid summers for spending money, I never thought about a ‘career’ in landscaping. Heck, it was so hot I couldn’t think past my next lawn. But 20 years later, I can say I’ve never thought about having a career in anything but landscaping. I have been fortunate to work among some of the top landscape professionals in the country and have learned a great deal. While I like landscape management, my passion is landscape concepts and installation. I love crafting a concept into a well thought out plan and seeing the layouts come to life during the installation. It is always a thrill to see the amazement on a clients face when they see the finished installation! Installing a new landscape can be overwhelming. With so many decisions to make, my job is to guide clients through the decision making process so their visions become outdoor works of art. I enjoy developing the relationships that emerge during the landscape concept and installation process. In my free time, I draw on nature and architecture to inspire and give me ideas to use in potential landscapes. Whether I am walking downtown New Orleans or hiking a trail in a forest inspiration is all around. I watch landscapes and buildings coexist; sometimes-in harmony and other times not so much. It is these differences that define our spaces and create a landscape of varying depth and beauty.
